Authorities are currently probing a fatal shooting incident that occurred in a residential area within metro Atlanta.
According to Newton County Sheriff officials, at approximately 2:58 a.m. on Thursday, deputies received reports of a shooting incident transpiring at a residence situated on Kirkland Road in Covington.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 23-year-old male who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was tragically declared deceased.
As of now, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain undisclosed.
