NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. – A tragic incident unfolded in Covington during the early hours of Thursday, resulting in the unfortunate death of a man.
Around 2:58 a.m. on September 21, Newton County deputies received a distress call and promptly arrived at a residence situated on Kirkland Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Tariq Dunston, a 23-year-old individual.
In an attempt to save Dunston, he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was tragically pronounced dead.
